The fact that Bernard Schultze, alongside Fred Thieler and Jaroslav
Serpan, as an artist who belongs to the Informal Art
together with the Zero artists Heinz Mack
and Otto Piene at the 7th Evening Exhibition on 24 April
. 1958 in Düsseldorf, which makes the
Informal Art of Bernard Schultze for many collectors,
especially for those of zero art,

.

Only attractive precisely because this art
clearly shows us all what we so easily forget:
That we are so privileged to have lived in a country
of freedom since 1949. of freedom. The Informel, which „as a conscious
opposition to the art dictatorship of the Nazi era.... understood
was regarded in the 1950s as an expression
of the new political order. Rupprecht Geiger resümated:
„The world is crying out for renewal or downfall.“*

And this „newness“ is still evident in the artworks in
year 2020. Rupprecht Geiger's resümee über
this art has perhaps even more
relevance in a new sense. relevance and justification than seventy years ago.

Whoever looks at the fantastic, bizarre pictorial worlds of Bernard
Schultze's fantastic, bizarre pictorial worlds, whoever
absorbs the colour world of this artist, will feel this desire. will feel this desire for renewal,
for himself. for himself and for our world, again and again.
Even seventy years after the first eruption of
Informel.

And so the one-artist show of Bernard Schultze
at the stand of Galerie Bentler fits into the time when Bernard
Schultze has visionarily and imaginatively foreseen our
time. foreseen our time.

The artist Ulrika Eller Rüter picks up where she left off. She too
she also deals with the theme of the urgently needed
„renewal“. As an artist of our time, she is,
like all of us, she is intensely concerned with the existential threat
habitat „Earth“ confronted. And that is why
she deals with this elementary theme in her works.

Since 2019, the artist has been devoting herself to the subject of water
in the multimedia project „SEA LEVEL“ in image, light staging
and music. She creates water samples from
oceans, rivers, lakes, ponds, springs, archives
and microscopes them. In this way, she makes the
hidden images that are stored in every drop of water as
memory. memory of water like codes and
provide pictorial information. and
provide pictorial information about the influences of civilisation,
environment, cosmos and universe.

With the microscopies, Ulrika Eller-Rüter makes use of
imaging methods, such as those used in medicine
and biology. biology and thus works in the
border areas between art and nature. border areas between art and natural science.

The infinite creative possibilities of the form-forming
power of water is shown by the artist. power of water will be shown by the artist at
art Karlsruhe. art Karlsruhe in a one artist show at the stand of the
gallery. Bentler in her large-format picture series as fine art

are designed as microcosms of their own, appearing like inner

They float in floods of colour as pictorial backdrops that the
artist has created. artist in an hour-long process of dipping real
colourful colours. of colour in an hour-long diving process. Great art in connection

With the content aspects of their artworks, these
two positions are intensively interwoven with the entire
portfolio of the Bentler Gallery. With the zero art of an

who, with their „search for light“, changed a whole generation
and which in turn radiates onto younger
artists. Artists: Aja von Loeper, André
Schweers and Bettina Hachmann. Here, through
the use of the same stylistic devices,
new content is generated. which ranges from the vulnerability of our environment to
the basic trust in life. to the basic trust in life.

The programme of the gallery is supplemented and enriched
Bentler with positions such as Markus Lüpertz, whose Atlas
again takes up the theme of „preserving the earth“,
Marius Singer, whose „Abstract Landscapes“ declarations of love
are declarations of love
to the diversity of our creation. Michael Cleff, whose unique ceramics simply
make us feel at home. in the here and now, and last but not least,
Sybille Pattscheck, whose translucent encaustic works
give so much pleasure luminosity convey so much joy in simply being part of this
world. world.
